Abigail Molly Ali has recently set up a shortbread business from home and is looking to expand her business.
Already selling on line, she is looking to get involved in village market stalls and fetes in the area or surrounding areas.
Based in Barkston, she currently takes orders through etsy and social media. Under the name Molly Bakes.
The 31-year-old worked at the Woodland Trust in Grantham for five years before moving to North Hykeham in 2018.
In 2019, she had her second son who was very poorly, together they were in hospital for 205 days and he has been on home oxygen since.
During COVID lockdown she helped my husband set up his car business of mechanic and selling cars, and has been and still does the PR for him and all the paperwork.
She told GM: “At the start of this year I decided I was going to do Molly Bakes but in March they had to move due to family circumstances. I needed to be closer to my grandad.
“Finally I have decided to take the plunge and open Molly Bakes”
Molly Bakes started from her kitchen at home during the lockdown of 2020.
It started from a recipe video online and thought “I’ll try that” a few bakes later she had tweaked and changed this and that and had made her own recipe.
After my family being taste testers for months she decided to take my food hygiene course and start a little something from home
She said:. “I love baking, helps me switch off and I love the thought that other people will enjoy my baking too, well I hope so any way.
“I have opened an etsy to page to start and then I am hoping to able to sell over social media, markets and fetes moving forward.
“When you order from Molly Bakes you are supporting a small business, a family business.”
