In the spirit of bringing the community together through the arts, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra has launched an extensive programme that would allow avid concert-goers to access newly recorded concerts and performances from its archives, all from the comfort of their homes.
Acclaimed violinist Kam Ning and Cultural Medallion winner Kelly Tang will be among the local musicians and composers scheduled to showcase their works every alternate Wednesday in an audio series titled Singapore Composers: From the Archives.
Meanwhile, Grantham-born conductor Jason Lai leads audiences through a guided meditation session featuring classical music every Sunday afternoon.
Jason went to Little Gonerby Infants School, National Junior School and King’s School, where he took up first the piano and then the cello.
He joined the Saturday Grantham Music School and from the start he loved Bach.
He continued his studies of the cello, piano and composition with the help of a scholarship at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester.
