We understand that grief doesn’t follow a timetable, and sometimes the simplest acts can bring the greatest comfort. Our Letters to Heaven postbox was created as a special way for families and friends to stay connected with loved ones who are no longer with us. 
The idea is simple, yet powerful: anyone can take a quiet moment to write down their thoughts, feelings, or memories, seal them in a letter, and post them into the box. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, Christmas, or just a day when someone is missed a little more than usual, writing can help express emotions that are hard to say out loud. 
We have seen how this small gesture has touched the hearts of many in our community. Some people write messages of love, others share news or updates, and some simply find comfort in putting pen to paper and knowing they have somewhere safe to send their words. 
The post box is always open and available here at Grantham Crematorium, providing a gentle space for remembrance, reflection, and ongoing connection.
