Let’s celebrate our amazing teachers!

Wednesday 20 May is national Thank A Teacher Day, an opportunity for pupils and parents to thank those making a real difference in our schools.

In the lead up to the day, the Teaching Awards Trust are asking as many people as possible to share their message of thanks, ideally in a video clip, using the #ThankATeacher and #HowWillYouSayThankYou hashtags.

Cllr Patricia Bradwell, Executive Member for Children’s Services, said: “We want every child in Lincolnshire to have the best start in life, and a good education is a vital part of that.

“Teachers across the county do a fantastic job year in, year out, and they have really gone above and beyond during the lockdown.

“Not only are they creating resources so pupils can continue to learn at home, but they are also taking care of the children of many key workers so their parents can remain on the frontlines.

“National Thank A Teacher Day is an ideal opportunity to show our appreciation for their efforts.

“There are many ways to say thanks – singing/miming a song, writing and/or reciting a poem, or sharing a picture or drawing – the choice is yours!”
