Launch of new drug and alcohol service hub in Grantham

December 17, 2024 by Grantham Matters Leave a Comment

A revamped drug and alcohol service hub was on Tuesday, December 10 th launched in
Grantham by the Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership (LRP).

One of six hubs across the county, the Grantham site has recently moved to its new location at
Pembroke House.

Following extensive renovations, the new building offers individuals a more accessible space
that has been expanded to provide more clinical delivery services.

The event was attended by local businesses, partner organisations, and service users who had a
tour of the building, met with staff and joined a training session for Naloxone – a life-saving
medicine that rapidly reverses an opioid overdose.

The new hub will offer one-to-one and group session support on detoxification and
rehabilitation; rough sleeping; criminal justice; employment support; harm reduction; mental
health and programmes for young people.

Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership is delivered by partners Turning Point, Framework and
Double Impact and offers free, confidential advice and support.

Adam Sutcliffe, Senior Operations Manager at Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership, said:
“It was fantastic to finally launch our new Grantham hub and the new direction of travel for
substance use services in Lincolnshire.

“Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership started this journey in April and this launch was a great
opportunity to demonstrate the vision of the service and to celebrate the successes we have
already achieved in such a short space of time.

“The Grantham hub is a space we can all be proud of – it’s somewhere people can access
support and treatment in a warm, comfortable, and inviting environment. There’s going to be
further developments ahead with work ongoing in Spalding, Boston, Skegness, Gainsborough,
and Lincoln.”

Lucy Gavens, Consultant in Public Health at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “It was an absolute pleasure to be at the opening of the new Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership Hub in Grantham. The facilities are excellent and will support the delivery of a wide range of prevention, treatment and recovery activities for the local community.

“We look forward to seeing the continued development of LRP and Horizon in the coming months.”
