Friends, family and the wider Grantham community are being invited to Harrowby United Football Club on Sunday, 27 September for the Kinners Cup, a day of football held in memory of James McKinnon.
James died on 27 September last year, aged just 24, and Sunday marks one year since his death.
The day has been organised by his best friend to bring people together to remember James, celebrate his life and raise money for charity.

As well as the football, there will be food, music, a BBQ, a bouncy castle, tattoo art, raffles, a tombola, half-time challenges and more throughout the day.
The organiser said: “We’d love for it to be more than just a football match, a day where everyone can come along, enjoy themselves, remember James and support some really important causes.
“It would mean so much to myself, James’ family and everyone who knew him to see the Grantham community come together and make the day something truly special in his memory.”
Money raised will be shared between two charities. James was a devoted supporter of PAPYRUS, which works to save young lives through its awareness work and its HOPELINE247 support service.
The day will also support Macmillan Cancer Support, a cause close to the organiser’s heart, as the charity has stood by the organiser’s mum throughout her ongoing battle with cancer.
So far £1,580 has been raised towards a target of £5,000.

The day starts at 12.30pm, with kick-off at 2pm, at Harrowby United Football Club, 19 Dickens Road, Grantham, NG31 9QY.
