
Join a Think Active walking, dance or yoga support group, part of the Let’s Move Lincolnshire programme to support Lincolnshire residents with low mental health.
Evidence suggests that both physical activity and being outside in nature can help your mood and generate a positive sense of wellbeing, and what better way to move your body than walking in the woodlands or dancing on the Lincolnshire coast?
Let’s Move Lincolnshire is a new website for Lincolnshire residents to find new and fun ways to move more and features a helpful activity finder with over 1,900 activity sessions across the county.
The Think Active support groups provide dedicated physical activity sessions for people living with low-level mental illness or with a history of poor mental health.
Scheduled walks and dancing session take place each day across the week in different locations in Lincolnshire. Online wellness yoga is also available to help people with gentle stretching, breathing and talking exercises.

Grantham residents can join their local Walk and Talk session at Alma Wood on Wednesdays at 10am. See the full timetable of activities below and find out more and how to book your space on the Let’s Move Lincolnshire website.
Each walking, dance and yoga session provides an environment for people to come together and take their first steps into a more active lifestyle, moving their body more while talking and sharing experiences to support low mental wellbeing.
“This experience was a wonderful way to release tension and emotions, feel connected with others again, be joyful and be free without judgement…” said a Lincolnshire resident, who took part in the Dance Free sessions on Theddlethorpe Beach.

The Think Active Schedule
Find a Think Active Walk & Talk, Dance Free or Online Yoga session in Lincolnshire. Each session will be led and supported by fully qualified instructors, but the primary focus of each walk is more than just moving. Here’s the full schedule of activities across the county.
Walk & Talk Think Active Sessions:
Grantham: Wednesdays at 10am – Alma Woods
Pinchbeck: Wednesdays at 12 noon – Starting at Baptiste Church on Knight Street
Billinghay: Fridays at 10.30am – Starting at Hudson Fitness
Market Rasen Dog Walks: Various times throughout the week in Walesby Woods
Dance Free Think Active Sessions:
Theddlethorpe Beach: Alternate Saturdays and Sundays at 10am
Boston: 12 February at 10am, at Wings Meadow Activity Centre
Mindful Yoga Think Active Sessions:
Online each Thursday at 11.30am
