The Met office predicts that the weather in Lincolnshire will be hotter than parts of Hawaii on Friday, June 17.
Unpredictable weather has been experienced throughout the first part of summer in the UK, but temperatures are set to be hot on Friday in most of Lincolnshire and sunny all day.
They say the Grantham area will experience highs of 28C. This is compared to cooler weather in parts of Hawaii, including highs of 25C with light showers and sunny intervals in the town of Hilo.
Highs of 27C are predicted in Kekaha Kauai with light showers and highs of 26C with light showers at Port Allen airport.
Grantham is set to reach 28C at around 4pm on Friday, June 17 with lows of 15C.
Temperatures predicted throughout the rest of the week from Monday, June 13 until Saturday, June 18, ranges from 18C to 24C across the county, with some sunny spells but also cloudy intervals.
From Thursday, June 16 to Saturday, June 25, Met Office predicts higher pressure from the continent to bring sunny and dry weather, particularly in the south. Thundery conditions may be possible, and once the high pressure moves westwards more unsettled and showery conditions may be experienced across the county.
Sunny spells and showers are predicted by Met Office for the long-term forecast for June 12 until 21 across the region and the north of the country. Temperatures have been described as “close to average, perhaps slightly above average in the south and slightly below average in the strongest winds in the north.”
