Hospital waiting lists….

I was put on the waiting list as URGENT.

I know I would need to be patient and wait, just like everyone else, I accept that, nothing no one can do.

As it’s been six months since the urgent letter went out, I rang appts today to see if I was anywhere still on the list.

The nice lady stated, for where I need to be, currently there is a backlog which currently is at June 2023.

So 15 months behind. I knew the waiting lists are long, but doesn’t compute until the person needs one, of course Covid caused a lot of it.

What a nightmare for patients and staff, I am an ex NHS worker, so it must be a nightmare to try and looked after everyone… several of my Doctors have left and gone abroad, sad reality of our lives currently.
