Helen Goral, Chairman of Grantham Community Heritage Association (GCHA) which runs Grantham Museum, decided stand down at yesterday’s annual meeting.
This follows a successful year for the museum, with new exhibitions, lottery funded projects, and a major refurbishment.
Mrs Goral, chairman for the past two years, will remain on the board as PR Director.
Adam Stokes, who has been involved in the museum for a number of years will take over as Chairman.
Mrs Goral said: “The last two years have seen the team achieve so much and I am incredibly proud to have been at the helm, however it’s time for someone else to take the museum forward.
“ I will retain responsibility for media relations and marketing, and I’m confident that Adam will build on the team’s continuing success.
“ I’d like to thank everyone for their support and to the exceptionally dedicated team I have been fortunate enough to lead, and hope that the coming year is as positive as the last.”
