With the support of Woolsthorpe Manor and the Grantham Civic Society the group had an exclusive insight into Newton’s scientific and historical relevance to the local area, along with a masterclass on leading tours.
A field trip to London considered different styles of tours and innovative audience experiences such as the Jack The Ripper Tour and the Tower of London Experience.
From these elements the group will develop and produce their own tour to be delivered as part of the Gravity Fields festival in September 2014.
The programme was supervised under the professional guidance of Grantham College Tourism Staff and Jim Grevatte, curator of The Grantham Museum.
