Visitors, stallholders and volunteers enjoyed the Grantham Canal Society’s first ever Craft Fair on Sunday 27th August. The society hosted 14 local artists, craftworkers and good causes, and welcomed hundreds of visitors. The weather held out, and a fantastic day was had by all!
Ivy, 8 years old from Leicester, said that her aunty hadn’t prepared her for how good it was going to be and was delighted to pick up a scooter and lots of lovely hand-made crafts with her pocket money. Campion Wood Candles, who had a stall at the event, enjoyed themselves and loved meeting people (and their dogs) at their stall. They thanked everyone for such a well-organised event run by such lovely people.
Through the purchase of delicious refreshments, bric-a-brac and tombola, supporters raised £1250! This will support the society in their work restoring and maintaining the Nottingham to Grantham Canal for the enjoyment of all.
The Three Shires boat crew were also pleased to welcome visitors on board their award-winning cruises. To book your own trip, please visit www.tickettailor.com/events/threeshires
