As part of its UK-wide expansion programme Lidl UK is to re-open its store in Grantham, following a complete re-build that will give new and existing customers a fantastic new supermarket in the heart of the town.
The new Watergate store will be opened at 8am on Thursday 2nd April 2015, by Town Mayor, Coun Ian Selby and Town Crier, Sgt Maj ‘Nobby’ Clark.
Major renovation works at the store has made way for a new 1286 sqm sales area, with new features including a brighter store environment with more space for fresh produce, wider aisles and increased parking as well as a new dedicated bakery.
The store will be home to many of Lidl’s quality product offerings, all at incredible value. These will include Lidl’s premium Deluxe range, winner of “Own Brand Range of the Year” at the Oracle Retail Week Awards 2014. Customers will be able to purchase everyday household products, as well as more luxury items such as two Fresh British Sirloin Steaks for just £5.99 and Scottish Vintage Cheddar, £1.99 for 250g.
A Lidl spokesman said, “We are extremely proud to be investing back in to the community with the re-opening of our Grantham store. We’ve had a great relationship with local residents and we’re delighted to open our doors again and offer customers fresh, quality produce that is delivered to stores every day.
“Lidl, would like to take the opportunity to thank residents and locals for their support and patience throughout the duration of the works.
“We look forward to welcoming both new and existing Lidl customers to the store re-opening on Thursday”.
