Hayes Theatre are launching adult weekly workshops from October 3rd after almost 4 years of solely working with young people.
The highly successful theatre company and Grantham Journal Business Awards finalists from 2022 are going from strength to strength and couldn’t be more excited to get started on the new workshops.
Owner, Claire Hayes says, “I’m still pinching myself! I had a crazy idea to offer children theatre workshops via Zoom during lockdown and it’s grown to what it is now.
“We offer weekly workshops, holiday boot camps, perform at many events throughout the year and produce shows. I’m loving every second!”
Their mission has always been to support and nurture young people whilst offering a safe space for them to explore all aspects of theatre and it will be exactly the same for the adult sessions.
Claire says, “We all lose that energy for life as we get older, many lack in confidence and forget that comfort zones can be stretched. I’m going to ensure that our space remains one that all can attend, leave their daily stresses behind and lose themselves in theatre, build relationships and most importantly, have fun!”
Claire has many years of professional theatre experience, having toured the country and worked in London.
Claire explains, “I always enjoyed working as an actress but I wanted a family too so this has always been the perfect venture for me. I get to be a mum to my two boys and wife to Simon (my biggest cheerleader) all whilst sharing my knowledge and experience, producing and directing shows, and running workshops. It’s perfect for me.”
