Grantham’s Diagnostic Centre gets a boost with three new consultation rooms

April 15, 2026 Leave a Comment

Renovations to create an additional three consultation rooms at Grantham Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) are now complete.

The work has seen a large waiting area in the main building converted to make better use of the space for smaller, private consultation rooms, allowing more clinics to be able to take place for patients.

The CDC has also been redecorated, giving the environment a fresher feel overall.

Claire Lloyd, Lincolnshire Community Diagnostic Centre Programme Lead at United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “Our community diagnostic centres are giving us an opportunity to deliver care differently, with more clinics and services available in the community. This makes them easier and quicker to access, away from very busy hospital sites.

“Patients tell us how much they like coming to our community diagnostic centres and the £200,000 investment to create more space and fund additional equipment here at Grantham allows us to continue our fantastic work and expand the range and number of clinics available.”

Grantham Community Diagnostic Centre, which is located on Gonerby Road at Gonerby Hill Foot, first opened to patients in April 2022.

Patients can access a range of diagnostic testing facilities in the community, including X-ray, general medical ultrasound, echocardiology, diabetic eye screening and AAA screening.

Grantham CDC expanded further in March 2024 to offer CT and MRI imaging in a purpose-built extension, and has grown again since with the introduction of DEXA (bone density) scanning and other clinical services, such as fracture liaison services, urgent blood testing for chemotherapy patients and children and young people’s asthma clinics.
