A new year and a new opportunity for young and aspiring rugby players to experience three-day and five-day rugby camps run by Leicester Tigers in 2020.
In 2020, the club will be visiting 17 rugby clubs and schools around the UK as Leicester Tigers community coaches travel the length and breadth of the UK hosting rugby camps for youngsters aged from six to fifteen years old.
They will be visiting Kesteven RFC at the Wood Nook Ground, Grantham, from May 26-29 with both a boys and a girls camp.
With boys and girls sessions, rugby camps are designed to give players a taste of what it is like to be a professional rugby player.
Rugby camps can play an important part in the development of young players, offering the building blocks to take on an elite training programme, develop positional and specific skills as well as experience the ‘rugby family’ environment.
Taking place during the academic February half-term, Easter break and summer holidays, under-7 to under-8’s are able to take part in three half-day camps with under-9s to under under-15’s offered a five full day camp experience.
