TWO executives from both Grantham Additional Needs Fellowship (GANF) and Germany’s KBZO are meeting at Ambergate Sports College on Friday.
They plan to sign an agreement for their Partnership to, not only continue in the future but also, to extend their four-year-old links and become more involved than ever.
KBZO’s Special Needs School, in Weingarten, has had phenomenal success and GANF, which comprises Ambergate Sports College and Sandon School, hopes to learn so much from them.
They, in turn, learn from GANF’s teaching techniques (GANF are a National Support School) and successes as an Outstanding Special Needs Provider.
They take turns with every year running an exchange programme for the pupils.
This year the German children visited GANF. Next year GANF pupils will visit KBZO again.
GANF are responsible for highly vulnerable young people aged 3 and 19 with moderate to severe learning difficulties and complex needs. The pupils’ needs are wide ranging; many on the autistic spectrum, with others having ADHD and varying degrees of developmental delay, and some with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.
