The A52 Bridge End Road was closed in both directions following a two vehicle collision following a collision at 12.45pm on Sunday, 14 July
It occured between Somerby Hill roundabout and the Cold Harbour Lane junction.
Fire crews from Grantham and Corby Glen used hydraulic cutting equipment to rescue one casualty from an overturned vehicle.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.
The two-vehicle collision on Somerby Hill, , outside the Prince William of Gloucestershire barracks. The vehicles involved were a blue Toyota Aygo travelling eastbound and a blue Vauxhall Antara, towing a trailer, westbound.
The driver of the Toyota suffered serious injuries, while two passengers – both children – suffered injuries not thought to be life-altering.
The driver of the Vauxhall was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
