Local professional photographer Nicola Auckland has launched a series of hands-on
photography workshops in Grantham designed to help beginners finally “get off auto”
mode and take control of their cameras.
The first course, Get Off Auto, runs on Saturday 20th and Saturday 27th September and
is tailored for complete beginners who want to understand how to use their camera
properly. A follow-up session, Beyond Auto, will run on Saturday 4th October and
Saturday 11th October, aimed at hobbyists who want to build on the basics and improve
confidence.
Each course is deliberately small with only six spaces available per class to ensure
attendees get individual support and leave with the ability to take photos they’re proud of.
“So many people invest in a ‘proper camera’ but get frustrated because all their photos
look the same or they have issues they don’t know how to correct,”

Nicola explains: “These workshops are designed to strip away the jargon and give people the confidence to finally take photos they love. It’s about unlocking creativity, not just learning buttons.”
Nicola is a professional brand and business photographer based in Grantham. Known for
helping business owners show up with confidence in front of the camera, she has worked

hosted at The National Trust’s Grantham House, Castlegate, Grantham.
