I’m excited to announce the launch of my first Work Experience Day, now open for student applications.
Work experience is a valuable opportunity for students to explore potential careers, build practical skills and gain confidence in a real world setting. After much expressed interest locally, I’m excited to provide this opportunity for students to get involved in my work.
It will be held here in Grantham and Bourne, giving you the chance to take part in research, presentations, and local engagement. I will be selecting four students for the day, so places are limited and selection will be competitive.
The work experience will take place on Friday 11th July. To apply, you must be a school student aged between 15 and 18 and reside within the Parliamentary constituency of Grantham and Bourne.
Due to the high demand for work experience opportunities, we aim to ensure a fair selection process, similar to a workplace interview. Therefore, interested students will need to submit a 250-word summary about themselves, addressing the following points:
- What are your future plans, and where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
- How could this work experience assist you with these future plans?
- Describe your interest in politics, and highlight if there are any specific policy areas
Please email the summary in an attached form along with a copy of your CV to ella.norris@parliament.uk before the 31st May.
If we are unable to accommodate you at this time, I hope there will be opportunities available at a later date.
