Gareth Davies MP this week answered questions from Kesteven and Grantham Girls’ School and Stamford Endowed Schools as they visited Parliament and took part in lessons organised by the Parliament Education Centre.
Taking place during UK Parliament Week, the students were able to make use of the award-winning programme of workshops and tours offered by the centre, whilst enthusiastically quizzing Gareth on his role as their MP, national and local affairs, and how our political system operates.
Now in its twelfth year, UK Parliament Week is a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to learn more about how they can get more involved in our democracy and how our system of government functions.
With over one million people signing up across our country, including local Scout and Guide groups, and over 5,000 activities taking place, this annual event is a unique chance to have an insight behind the gates of the Palace of Westminster.
