A man was yesterday charged after a BMW, gold, jewellery and fuel were reported stolen in three separate incidents in one day.
The offences were reported over the course of a few hours in Stamford and Market Deeping on Friday 18 November.
The first report involved a burglary at a property in Braemar Close, Stamford at around 2.15pm, where a black BMW 340i Msport was stolen from the driveway.
The second report was for a burglary at a residential property in Church Road (can you confirm if this is Church Road or Church Gate as the OEL references Church Gate), Deeping St James just after 3pm where gold and jewellery were reported stolen.
Then a final report came in that the driver of an Audi had made off without payment for fuel at Market Deeping Service Station, Peterborough Road, Langtoft.
Following a swift investigation by officers in Grantham CID, who made use of community intelligence, CCTV footage and other information, James Price, 18, of Tennyson Avenue in Grantham, was arrested yesterday (22 November). He has now been charged with two counts of burglary and one count of making off without payment.
He appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court earlier today and has been remanded into custody for a hearing at Lincoln Crown Court on 5 December.
If you have been a victim on burglary, we would encourage you to report it to the police. Investigating burglaries is a key priority for Lincolnshire Police and we are committed to attending every burglary which takes place in someone’s home.
