The Pronar MRW 2.1010 slow-speed shredder has been released in the UK by Global Recycling Solutions which said the machine is “designed to be as versatile as possible”.
The shredder features two shafts with 100 knives on each and Grantham-based Global said: “This dynamic duo can handle a variety of materials without any modifications. It performs exceptionally well on wood of all grades and can easily switch to aluminum, household, green or bulky waste.”
It can also can deal with tough materials such as car bodies, tyres, carpets, and mattresses while separating the ferromagnetic fraction from the rest, the company said.

The design includes breaking bars which are said to offer great assistance in changing final product size, reducing undesirable dust, or just protecting crucial elements of the shredder.
When it comes to equipment that is fitted as standard, Global, based on Ruston Road, said that the MRW 2.1010 shredder is a turnkey solution. Standard equipment includes: a central lubrication system eliminating the need for time-consuming greasing and ensuring greasing is never neglected; a remote control which operates all essential features from a safe distance to the machine; reversible fans which prevent the clogging up of the hydraulic oil and engine coolers; work illumination lights and sound reduction techniques.
