Engines, entertainment and family fun gearing up for Grantham Car Show

April 24, 2026 Leave a Comment

Clear the diary and get ready for a fun-filled day out as Grantham Car Show roars back into Wyndham Park on Saturday 16 May.

Classic favourites and much‑loved vehicles from decades gone by will take centre stage as this popular event returns to the local calendar – and best of all, it’s free to attend.

From 10.30am to 4pm, visitors can enjoy an impressive line‑up of gleaming vintage and classic vehicles, alongside displays, stalls, family activities and show‑stopping live entertainment.

The South Kesteven District Council event is co‑hosted by Grantham Classic Car Club, which has assembled a stunning collection ranging from Austin 7s and elegant classics to sports cars and motorbikes.

With support from local groups including The Lincolnshire Centre of the MG Car Club and the Advanced Motorcycle Safety group, there will be plenty to delight motoring enthusiasts of all ages.

Family fun is firmly in the driving seat, with Rhubarb Theatre’s much‑loved Driving School giving youngsters the chance to dress up, hop into a car costume and tackle a fun obstacle‑course “driving test”.

Adding to the wow factor is the incredible RIDE dance show by ZoieLogic – a thrilling fusion of people and cars in motion, performing at 11.30am and 2.30pm.

Paul Stokes, SKDC Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure and Deputy Leader of the Council, said: “We’re expecting all sorts of wonderful vehicles from the clubs involved, as well as from individual enthusiasts. It will be well worth a wander around to spot a few treasures you might remember yourself.

“With free entry, free entertainment, food and drink available, and all the usual attractions Wyndham Park has to offer, it promises to be a fantastic family day out. We’re delighted to be bringing this event back and hope it paves the way for even more in the future.”

Wyndham Park Café will be open throughout the day, alongside the regular ice‑cream van, and the Park Visitor Centre will also be welcoming visitors.

Anyone interested in showing their car should contact Grantham Classic Car Club via John Welham on ajwelham@btinternet.com or 07778 868 345.

Parking at Wyndham Park is limited. Visitors are advised to use Queen Elizabeth Park car park, or park in Grantham town centre and enjoy a short walk to the event.
