Residents of a much-loved Grantham care home celebrated the story of England’s legendary national hero with a fun-packed day of traditional festivities and games.
Red Court Care Community, based at St Edmunds Court, Grantham, was awash with St George’s flags and red and white bunting. The day featured a range of traditional English activities and entertainment, including some of the nations most favourite music and dancing. A special menu with an array of classic English dishes topped off the day for residents and staff and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Gabriela Bucek, general manager at Red Court, said: “We always look forward to celebrating St. George’s Day. It’s an important day for our residents, many of whom have fond memories of past celebrations. The event was possible due to our hard-working activity coordinator and staff. We’re thrilled that we could come together as a community to enjoy this special occasion.”
Red Court Care Community provides accommodation, nursing and personal care for up to 53 people, some of whom may be living with dementia, physical disabilities and sensory impairments.
