Grantham car retailer toasts success after popular model praised at prestigious awards

A Grantham car retailer is celebrating success after its popular electric SUV triumphed at a recent global awards ceremony.

Marshall Volvo Grantham, on Spittlegate Level was delighted that the new Volvo EX90, a premium seven-seater SUV, was crowned the winner in the Most Revolutionary Transport category at this year’s Wallpaper* Smart Space Awards.

The award came after the fully electric SUV was hailed by judges as a benchmark for Volvo’s future, showcasing innovations in safety, technology, sustainability, innovation and design.

The Wallpaper* Smart Space Awards celebrate objects, accessories, services and tools that combine beauty, design, innovation and style. The leading international design authority bestows the annual honours to give “global recognition for ideas that inspire and technology that lasts”.

The ‘Most Revolutionary Transport’ category embraces new technologies, services and products designed to help people move from A to B in more timely, innovative or convenient ways.

Available from £82,660, the Volvo EX90 features a suite of sensors both inside and outside the car to support its cutting-edge driver-assistance and safety systems. The car comes with the latest in software and connectivity technology, and can cover up to 375 miles on a single charge with no tailpipe emissions.

This isn’t the first award for the EX90, with more than five accolades under its belt. The car recently claimed World Luxury Car at the World Car Awards and Luxury Family Car of the year at the TopGear.com Awards.
