Alma Park-based Stanborough Press Ltd, , made the decision to invest in LED lighting for their company as part of a sustainable plan to reduce their carbon emissions.
Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire, a programme led by North East Lincolnshire Council, have supported their strategic move to LED lighting with a 38% grant of £5,231.
The company is now set to save a massive £57,900 over the next 10 years. This will make a dramatic difference to their energy bills and enable them to invest the savings back into the company.
David Bell, at Stanborough Press said: “We were very grateful to Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire for their support during this project of ours. We are a charitable organisation, so money is always tight, meaning that the financial assistance we received from Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire was very welcome.”
The Smart Energy programme aims to support small to medium businesses in the Greater Lincolnshire area to reduce their energy consumption and carbon emissions. A wide range of support is available from free advice, workshops, onsite audits and grant funding.
The programme work alongside the University of Applied Sciences Trier’s Institut fur angewandtes Stroffstrommanagement (IfaS). Who provide businesses with a free onsite audit and energy report.
IfaS are world renowned leading experts in energy and resource efficiency and bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the programme.
Thomas Anton, Head of the department for Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency for IfaS, said that:
“Through making the simple change to LED, very often more than 70% of electricity and costs for lighting will be saved and related carbon emissions can be avoided. We will identify the options for your SME and give advice for costs, savings and payback time for your individual situation”.
Smart Energy is helping small to medium businesses across a wide range of sectors, from engineering, print, independent shops and much more.
