It’s a positive development made possible thanks to the work of our NHS colleagues and volunteers in distributing the vaccine, as well as our continued cooperation and consideration for others against Covid.
In short, from 8 March all children and students will return to face to face education in schools and colleges.
Also from this date:
- Wraparound childcare for primary and secondary pupils will resume where necessary to enable parents to access work, education or medical care.
- People will however be able to leave home for recreation outdoors such as a coffee or picnic with their household or support bubble, or with one person outside their household.
- The #StayatHome requirement will remain.
And from 29 March more restrictions will lift, including the return of the rule of six people meeting outdoors and the new alternative to that of two households meeting outdoors.
The headline message will switch to Stay Local though, as we are still required not to go too far.
