After 13 years campaigning I am delighted to see that the elections for our new Grantham Town Council will be taking place 2nd May along with those for the Police & Crime Commissioner. Many candidates are coming forward.
I have been working with the Mayor, Charter Trustee Officers and SKDC officers in my capacity as current Deputy Mayor of Grantham to ensure the smoothest transition possible.
Huge thanks to our officers in the Mayor’s Parlour who have done a great job serving us and will move forward to support the new administration.
Good luck to all the candidates. It will be great to see representation from across the town. Men and women.
The Town Council will provide an opportunity to raise funds for specific purpose and access grants to meet the towns needs, along with providing an important voice on planning matters.
In the meanwhile, prior to the formation of our new Town Council, SKDC is undertaking a Public Consultation on our Local Plan which will include details of future development and can be viewed online. There is significant growth planned around Grantham.

Never were so few led by so many.

City of Peterborough Unitary Authority.
