Another weather warning has been issued for Lincolnshire as high winds forecast in the county are predicted to hamper efforts to restore power in some areas.
The Met Office has now issued a yellow weather warning for wind across the county tomorrow, February 20, lasting from 12pm until 3pm.
Addressing the likely impact of this, the meteorological agency says: “Some delays to road, rail, and ferry transport are likely
“Delays or restrictions for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely. It’s likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves.
“Some damage to infrastructure and trees/branches is possible, especially where made more vulnerable by Storm Eunice. Power outages are possible, and efforts to restore power to areas which have had interrupted supply in the wake of Storm Eunice are likely to be hampered.”
In terms of the general forecast in Lincolnshire tomorrow, the Met Office is predicting gales at certain points and heavy rain for much of the day, followed by blustery showers later on.
Storm Eunice caused disruption across Lincolnshire yesterday, with damage being done to one of the county’s mass vaccination centres and multiple high-sided vehicles overturning in the wind being reported.
Grantham avoided the worst of the storm, although trees were brought down in Roipsley and Colsterworth
