Free AI workshops on offer for South Kesteven businesses

AI workshops offer support for businesses

Local businesses are being invited to explore the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence (AI) through two free workshops being piloted by South Kesteven District Council.

The workshops are designed to help business operators build their confidence in using AI, understand how it can be applied and consider important issues including governance, risk and developing an AI policy.

While awareness of AI is growing, many businesses are yet to make the move from understanding the technology to using it in practice.

The workshops are open to South Kesteven businesses of all types, size and stage of their AI journey – whether they are completely new to it or they area already exploring how it could support their organisation.

Cllr Ashley Baxter, Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Finance and Economic Development, said: “AI is already changing the way businesses work and there are real opportunities for local businesses to use it to save time, work more efficiently and support their growth.

“These workshops are a chance for businesses to find out more about how AI can be used in practical, responsible ways, whatever their current level of knowledge or experience.

“Most importantly, we want to hear directly from our businesses about the support they need. Their feedback will help us understand what would be most useful and shape how we can support businesses across South Kesteven in the future.”

Participant feedback will help determine whether and how the Council develops further AI support, which could include training programmes, peer-learning opportunities, specialist guidance and wider business engagement.

The workshops provide an opportunity for businesses to learn from others, explore practical applications of AI and help shape future business support across South Kesteven.

Spaces are limited. Tickets are free but must be booked in advance. Details of the workshops and how to book:
