Police have seized four dogs who were causing issues in the Grantham area following multiple calls for the public.
Our Force Control room received multiple calls that the dogs – three German Shepherd’s and a Belgian Malinois – were loose and acting aggressively to members of the public, and causing a risk to motorists yesterday evening (Sunday, 1 June).
They were located in the Uplands Drive area, and handed over by the owners.
Our officers are treating this as dogs being dangerously out of control and are now investigating this incident, as well as wider reports of similar issues in the Uplands Drive area on a number of occasions – and this is where we need your help.
We understand that issues have been spoken about within the local community and on social media over the last few months, and particularly in the last few days, but we need people to make those reports to us so we can build a bank of evidence.
Without this, it is very difficult for us to bring a stop to something which is causing distress in the community – and we really want to be able to do that.
We are keeping an open mind about the dogs and owners responsible, as well as the types of incidents which may have happened, and your information can help to narrow down our investigation.
