Jan Hansen, known for the production of first class chocolate products in the Billingborough and Folkingham areas, has revealed why he quit his role as a councillor on SKDC.
He said: “Regarding my time at SKDC, the main reason that I resigned early was due to the fact that I was being denied access to very important documents concerning a seriously important issue in Folkingham, which involved £200,000 of unnecessary costs being incurred, and decided that I did not want to be associated with the very irregular goings on there.
“During my 37 years in south Lincolnshire, I worked extremely hard at keeping an excellent reputation, and did not want to taint it, by being associated with these very unacceptable goings on!
“I think that most people realise that bullying is endemic within our so-called democratic system, and I can handle that, but I just wanted to put the record straight on why I really resigned.”
