Grantham’s Guildhall Arts Centre and Stamford Arts Centre are celebrating the festive period with events and performances for all ages.
Last week, festive panto Rapunzel opened at The Guildhall Arts Centre with shows running until Saturday 31st December.
Presented in conjunction with Polka Dot Pantomimes, over 1,000 tickets were sold just weeks after it went on sale earlier this year.
The festive extravaganza tells the tale of a lonely Princess longing for a life of adventure. With audience participation, sing-a-longs and spectacular special effects, it’s certain to appeal to the whole family.
A relaxed performance on Saturday 17th December will capture the magic of the fairy tale in an accessible and inclusive environment for everyone to enjoy. The performance will be adapted to suit people who may benefit from a more relaxed environment, such as those with learning difficulties, autism or sensory communication disorders.
In Stamford, festivities are set to continue well into 2023 as Aladdin flies into Stamford Arts Centre between Friday 6th and Sunday 15th January.
As Christmas approaches, The Five Star Swing Band returns to the Ballroom on Friday 16th December followed by the enchanting Rapunzel & The Tower of Doom puppet show presented by the Theatre of Widdershins on Saturday 17th December.
In the run up to the big day, Stamford Arts Centre will also be showing the festive classics – Elf, Home Alone, and Love Actually, ahead of an exciting film programme which continues into the New Year.
Heading into 2023, fresh and exciting seasons of events are on offer in both Grantham and Stamford.
From music, to musicals, comedy to cabaret – there is something for everyone.
