End of days for town centre Co-op

February 12, 2023 Leave a Comment

Taken by my late father John Bradshaw when he was working on another of C.J. Else’s contracts, this time on the Grantham Post Office in about 1969-70, when they were painting something up on the flat roof there. These were very damaged slides and have taken quite a bit of work repairing on PhotoShop but I hope they download onto the site OK as they are superb images from that era. The Tolle was still the Co-op and note the other Co-op building clearance at the top of St Catherines road bottom right. From Dick Bradshaw
