Easton Walled Gardens announces launch of newest shop and Snowdrop Season

Easton Walled Gardens opens for Snowdrops, and the 2025 season, on Wednesday 12th February, Wednesdays to Sundays, 11am-4pm.

From February to March, Easton Walled Gardens is covered in drifts of snowdrops which emerge from a bulb that has lain in wait for almost a year. They flower in their thousands and create a magical carpet of white along the river banks and under the great trees. Both people and bees are drawn to the display by the scent of honey drifting across the Gardens on a sunny day.

Easton Walled Gardens are 12 acres of 450 year old gardens that have been owned by the Cholmeley family since 1592 and the snowdrops may have been here since the beginning. Visitors can walk amongst the flowers which are planted alongside other spring flowers including hundreds of hellebores in purple and cream, aconites, hyacinths and crocuses.

Spring has arrived in the shops at Easton too and visitors can browse four rooms of Spring bulbs, plants, gifts and homewares all chosen with care from local and sustainable sources. The book and stationery store, Griffin of Easton, is the ideal stop for the book lover in your life. Visitors can also stop off in the Coffee Room or Applestore for refreshments.

New for 2025, Griffin Artists’ Materials, will also be open from 12th February, and is the perfect stop for budding or seasoned artists. The shop offers an inspiring selection of high-quality art supplies sourced from trusted brands and artisans around the world. Visitors will find everything they need to fuel their artistic pursuits—from luxurious papers and sketchbooks to vibrant pigments, water colour paints, and brushes, Griffin Artists’ Materials celebrates craftsmanship and creativity by curating materials that combine tradition, quality, and innovation.

So whether you are a keen gardener or photographer or looking for a relaxing stroll in beautiful surroundings, Easton Walled Gardens invites you to join us from 12th February for the start of Snowdrops and the beginning of our open season.
