Drug warrants result in a series of Grantham arrests

Several arrests have been made as part of ongoing work to crack down on the supply of illegal drugs in Grantham.

Two warrants have been executed by local policing teams in recent weeks, resulting in three arrests.

The first took place on November 2 at Great Northern Court. Officers carrying out the warrant recovered a quantity of suspected class A drugs and cash, and arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with the inquiry.

He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

The second warrant was executed at a property in Cambridge Street yesterday (Thursday November 10). Officers from Grantham’s local neighbourhood policing team seized a quantity of suspected class A drugs during the raid.

Inquiries are ongoing and the two arrested men, aged 43 and 42, have been released on police bail.

Neighbourhood Police Sergeant Lee Mayfield said: “Information we receive from the public is vital to us to carry out this kind of work. Drugs can destroy communities and they have no place on our streets. It remains a priority for us, both here in Grantham and for the force as a whole, to do all we can to make sure that we crack down on them.
