Drivers around Grantham will have 10 National Highways road closures to watch out for next week as well as major local council works in the town.
But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A1, from 9.30am September 13 to 4.30pm October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 northbound and southbound, Dry Doddington, Overhead works on behalf of National Grid.
• A1, from 7am August 26 to 7pm December 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 southbound, Harlaxton, diversion route via National Highways network for works on local authority network.
And a further nine closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A1, from 8pm September 16 to 5am October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound and southbound, Barrowby, traffic signals and slip road closure for survey works, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.
• A1, from 8pm September 17 to 5am September 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 southbound, Little Ponton to Stoke Rochford, Lay-by and lane closures for maintenance works.
• A52, from 8pm September 21 to 6am September 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 Barrowby, traffic signals due to maintenance works.
• A1, from 8pm September 23 to 6am September 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 northbound and southbound, Grantham to Stretton, slip road, gap and lane closures due to works on behalf of Lincolnshire County Council.
• A1, from 8pm September 23 to 5am September 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 southbound, Foston to Marston, Lane closure due to maintenance works.
• A1, from 8pm September 25 to 6am September 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 northbound, North Witham, Gap and lane closures for local authority works, diversion route via National Highways network and local authority network.
• A52, from 8pm September 26 to 6am October 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound and westbound, Bottesford to Sedgebrook, temporary traffic signals for survey works.
• A52, from 8pm September 30 to 6am October 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound and westbound, Bingham to Barrowby, Lane closures due to horticultural works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
