A qualified doctor and former Grantham College student has spoken highly of his time studying and living in Lincolnshire.
Dr Victor Zhao, originally from Guangdong in China, began studying A-Levels in 2008 while living in the college’s halls.
He left Grantham two years later to study biomedical science at Newcastle University and completed his PhD in molecular biology there last year.
Victor has most recently been working as a post-operative researcher at the university.
Despite being thousands of miles from home Victor said he enjoyed his time in Grantham, where he lived with members of the college’s Table Tennis Academy.
He said: “Grantham College is a good college in a historical and vibrant town. As a student it’s very convenient.”
Victor added that he had “really good” support from staff members as he adjusted to life in Lincolnshire, including enrolling on language courses.
