British Transport Police have confirmed that a man in his 30s died on the railway tracks at Claypole, yesterday.
It happened at about 7am on Wednesday.
Paramedics attended, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene and officers were working to identify the person and inform their family.
Police have now confirmed that the victim was a man in his 30s.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and that officers will prepare a file for the coroner.
It was the second fatality on train tracks near Grantham in as many days.
BTP officers went to Grantham station on Tuesday morning to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
It was later confirmed that a man in his 60s had died.
