Lincolnshire’s Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) is providing important lifeline for people who need support with aids and adaptations around their home.

Councillor Wendy Bowkett, Executive Councillor for Adult Care and Public Health said: “This is a vital service to support people to remain independent at home. It ranges from a simple walking frame or crutches, or mobile hoists to pressure care equipment. This can be provided for people of all ages to be able to get about their own home, preventing the need to be supported elsewhere. If you need this support to get about your home, contact the Integrated Community Equipment Service on 0345 121 2031 and they will be able to talk about your needs.”

NRS Healthcare have won the ICES contract for the next five years on behalf of Lincolnshire County Council and NHS partners. It’s been designed to meet the ongoing opportunities and challenges faced by healthcare professionals and integrates minor adaptations, new stairlift and hoist services.

As part of the new service, NRS will be moving to a new larger central service centre in Sleaford, which includes increased warehouse capacity, dedicated demonstration area and training rooms.

NRS will also launch its wheelchair service in Lincolnshire in April 2024.
