“I am delighted to say work on CCTV installation in the Grantham London Road/University Square area will start mid-September. It should help improve safety and help us catch the flytippers persistently leaving rubbish out on the public highway in the vicinity. They have cost us over £7,000 in additional waste collections. Thanks to residents who have worked with us to keep the area clear.
I am also delighted SKDC is investigating the viability of extending CCTV coverage to include Dysart Park, after we have been calling for this for years. Residents immediately neighbour the park, and SKDC, along with generous support from Rotarians, have invested in new equipment. We need to protect our community, park visitors and our property.
As a reminder, in the event of an emergency, we have defibrillators in our parks and disabled shower and changing facilities in Wyndham Park.”
