The latest stage of a major project to improve changing facilities at South Kesteven District Council leisure facilities has been completed.
The swimming changing areas at the Meres Leisure Centre, Grantham, have undergone a deep clean alongside the replacement of communal changing cubicles, showers, ceilings, lighting, doors and washroom facilities.
It is part of SKDC’s commitment to ensure the centres are fit for the future and continue to serve communities for many years to come.

Similar work has been carried out at Stamford Leisure Pool. Next on the list for improvements is Bourne Leisure Centre, followed by South Kesteven Sports Stadium.
The changing rooms work is the first phase of a £1m refurbishment programme. The details of Phase 2 are being drawn up and will cover customer-facing areas in each venue.
The Cabinet Member for Leisure and Culture, Cllr Paul Stokes, said: “We are very much aware that our leisure facilities are important community assets and we are delighted to be making this substantial investment to improve the experience for everyone who visits.

“SKDC is committed to providing visitors with outstanding leisure facilities where they can exercise, improve their health, take up new activities and socialise through clubs and community events.”
