Bikers on their annual Toy Run next Sunday

The annual Toy Run which sees born-again Mods and Rockers on the same side, is set for Sunday 27th November.

All motorcyclists and scooter riders are invited to meet at thew Rutland Arms, Bottesford (NG13 0AA) ready to leave at 11am. Christmas fancy dress is optional.

The pub will be open for refreshments from 9am.

Organiser John Bartlett said: “We have Police to see us out on to the A52. A very kind Sgn’t Mike Hooper from Leicester has said that he will be on duty and has agreed to do both the Toy and Egg Runs.”

Unfortunately, as usual, the event, which sees many hundreds of bikers, will not be allowed through Grantham. They leave the A52 at the Barrowby Gate roundabout and head straight for the Leisure Centre, to donate their gifts at about n11.30am.

From there, it is off to Melton Mowbray.

All bikers are encouraged to take a new or nearly new toy to donate.
