Over 70 people attended including representatives from RAF Cranwell. “The sun shone and Rev June Rowland oversaw a beautiful dedication service.
“The Last post was very moving. We took a few pictures after the service and will be posting a few more that our friend Dave Jones took for us during the ceremony..
“Thank you to Chris Kennedy from Roll and Scroll for designing and making the bench and to SKDC for allowing us to place it in the cemetery. Also, thank you to the local volunteer from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission “Eyes on, hands on” scheme who has cleaned the graves and is in the process of re-painting the names on the Town War Memorial.
“If you get chance, please do go and see these and the bench. If you were unable to attend but would like one of the memorial order of service cards, pop down to see us or send a message to get a copy.”
