That can’t be 1980. It was opened as the Central School in 1978 with the first intake of girls, having previously been the Boys Central School on Sandon Road.

True. It was either late 1977 or early-mid 1978 when the photo was taken. I was a pupil there in the 1990s and a few of the things I remember from that time have not been built on this photo.
