Grantham beauty queen, Kayleigh Mansfield, wants to share her forthcoming charity event with you.
The 29-year-old was offically crowned Ms Lincolnshire in January and will be competing in the European final of Young European International Ms on 3rd Novemeber. The final will take place at Brierly Hill Civic Hall in the West Midlands.
Kayleigh told GM: “What I love about this system is they Aspire to Inspire. They let you be the version of you and raise your own platform.
“My platform is Lupus Awareness. Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease.
“I was diagnosed with this conditon at the age of 17 and had never heard of it until then.
“Pageants has helped me become the person I am today and preparing me for everyday life skills. They have made me more confident to speak about my illness and help me gain my job within the music industry.
Kayleigh has organised her 4th live music event that will take place on Saturday 3rd August at The King’s Arms, Westgate, Grantham in aid of Lupus UK.
This is only national charity dedicated to creating awareness of Lupus and funding the research to find a cure.
The day will start with at Coffee morning/afternoon between 11-2pm. They will be selling a selection of cakes, a raffle and light entertainment by the very talented Ellie Edwards.
A member of the charity will be joining from the East Midlands group. They will be giving a short speech at 12pm to tell everyone more about the charity and what they do. We will also have the Deputy Mayor Dean Ward joining us to support the event.
The event will continue at 7pm with a Sunmer Jam (band night).
The raffle will continue as well as a BBQ and festival glitter by Glitter Box Beauty.
Any donations made will be given a complimentary glass of presecco donated by The Kings Arms.
There are live acts from: Serena Joy, Striped Sight and Future Theory coming all the from Lincoln to support the charity. An offical photogrpaher joining them will be Alternative Annie.
Kayleigh says: “We have some incredible prizes up for grabs in the raffle. I was absolutly shocked when I recieved a signed Manchester United Pennant in the post by 4 players! Fred, Lindelof, Sergio Romero, McTominay.
“We have many other prizes to be won which have been donated by local businesses. You can view the full list on our event page on Facebook. Raffle tickets are on sale for just £1 or 7 for £5. You can purchase thse from myself, The Kings Arms or at the event.
“All funds will be donated into her Just Giving page.
