There was a fire on the path off Beacon Lane, Grantham, at noon yesterday. Severe fire damage to approximately 3m x 5m of hedgerow which was out on arrival. so inspection by crew only. This was caused by carelessly discarded smoking matierials.

Fire crews from Grantham and Newark attended a garage fire in Long Bennington just after 3am this morning. There was fire damage to a fridge-freezer and a washing machine, smoke & heat damage to the garage. It was extinguished using a hosereel jet and two breathing apparatus. It was caused by an electrical fault.
