Fire out of control
Grantham firefighters attended hay bales, a hedgerow and garden waste on fire at East Lane, Westborough, near Long Bennington yesterday afternoon. It was caused by controlled burning left unattended. Crews used a Hose Reel Jet to prevent fire spread and this was allowed to burn out under supervision.
