A man in his fifties has been arrested ifollowing an appeal after a girl was approached by a man.

On Wednesday 26^th June, between 8am and 9am, a young girl, walking to school, was approached by a man near the footbridge (Northbound) off Heath Lane, Great Ponton, which caused her to be frightened and upset.

He was described as being around 60 years old with a beard.

It is possible he may have been in the Service Station shop prior to the incident but we believe that he may well have crossed the footbridge back to the main village area.
